Elizabeth "Betty" Anne (née Spinelli) Cimorelli, age 94, a resident of Geneva for over eight decades, passed away peacefully February 24, 2016, at UH Geneva Medical Center.

She was born December 14, 1921, in Midland, Pennsylvania, the beloved daughter of the late Agnello and Marianicola (née Castellucci) Spinelli, and married, Frank A. Cimorelli, in Geneva on November 27, 1941.

Following High School graduation, she attended Cosmetology School in Cleveland for a year. She owned and operated Betty's Beauty Shop for more than 60 years. Getting your hair done at Betty's Beauty Shop included being served coffee, pastries and dessert at bargain prices. It was all about the the people and having fun doing it. She was a faithful member of Assumption Catholic Church. She volunteered for the American Red Cross and served as an Election Judge. She loved politics and enjoyed the "political theater" leading to the elections. She served for many years as the Democratic Precinct Committee Chairperson. She was intelligent, funny and engaging, enjoyed volunteering, and always welcomed a good debate. She was an avid reader throughout her life, which gave her a remarkable ability to discuss a wide variety of topics.

Elizabeth loved her family dearly, and enjoyed traveling across the country with her husband to visit their children. A travel highlight happened for her in 2002 when her children took her to Italy for her 80th birthday. She was able to visit the Church her parents married and visited with many family members from Colle Corvino, Italy. She enjoyed crocheting afghans for family and friends, especially when new arrivals were expected

She is survived by her devoted son, Frank J. (Michele) Cimorelli, of Prescott, Arizona, and loving grandson, Christopher Cimorelli, of Scottsdale, Arizona. She is also survived by her cousins, nieces and nephews, all of whom loved her dearly. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank, in 2004, loving daughter, Jacqueline Cimorelli, in 2009, dear brothers, James and Aldorino Spinelli, cherished sister, Esther A.
