Barbara Helen Hayes was born February 27, 1936 in New York City, NY to Edmund and Muriel (Hannan) Spivak. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at her home on February 15, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 54 years, Bob; her brothers, Edmund and Tom; sister, Ruth; and daughter-in-law, Laurie.
Barbara is survived by her sons, John; Kevin and wife, Teresa; Bobby and wife, Shannon; and Tim and wife Ann; daughter Patti and husband, Martin; 11 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; and her brother, Richard Spivak.
Barbara and her husband, Bob, were the owners and founders of Leisure Time Pools and Spas of Oklahoma City (est. 1972).
The family would like to thank Mercy Hospice, specifically her nurses, Dolores, Brenda and James for their compassionate care of Barbara. Also, the family extends a very loving “thank you” to Christie Hutchens, Barbara’s certified home health aide, for her invaluable loving care of “Nanny.”
Viewing will be from 9am-9pm on Friday, February 20 at Mercer Adams with the family present from 5-9pm. Services will be at noon on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Mercer Adams Chapel.
