Bernice S. "Beanie" Liberman died Thursday in Delray Beach, FL. She was a lifetime resident of Syracuse, NY. "Beanie" was formerly employed by Roth Bros Metal Corp. as a bookkeeper. She proudly delivered Meals on Wheels and was an avid fan of SU men's basketball. Loved by her family, friends, and all who knew her, "Beanie" was a devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, relative and true friend. She was predeceased by parents Samuel and Esther Spivak; her brother, Irving Spivak; and her husband, Wilbur Liberman. Survived by her sons, Elliott Lessen of Chicago, IL, and Gary (Lois Stark) Lessen of Stamford, CT; her granddaughters, Stacy and Emily; and her stepson, Paul (Linda) Liberman of Fayetteville, NY. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Sunday at Sisskind Funeral Chapel. Friends may visit with the family prior to the service, from 10 to 11 a.m., at the funeral chapel, 3175 E. Genesee Street. Burial will be in Anshe Sfaard Cemetery. Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the Foundation of Menorah Park.
