Linda A. Caston, 89, of Ossian, died Wednesday, March 12, 2008, at Bluffton Regional Medical Center. Born Dec. 22, 1918, in Allen County, she was a homemaker and member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Uniondale.
Surviving are her husband, Frank D. Caston of rural Ossian; sons, Daniel F. (Cora) Caston of Roanoke, Leon J. Caston of Ossian, Richard K. (Jan) Caston of LaGrange, and Dean W. (Joann) Caston of Greenville, Mo.; daughters, Judith A. (Bill) Kirn of Huntertown, Rita J. Caston of Fort Wayne, Ruth A. (Mike) Overholt of Craigville, and Jill E. (Doug) Worden of Bluffton; brother, Kenneth L. Springer of Ossian; sisters, Mildred M. Menze of Fort Wayne, Bernadine M. Brewer of Ossian and Joann M. Voelker of Hoagland; 19 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by parents, Gust E. Springer and Annetta L. (Dettmer) Springer; four brothers; and three sisters.
Funeral service 1 p.m. Monday at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Funeral Home, 120 West Mill St., Ossian. Visitation is from 1 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial in Oak Lawn Cemetery. Memorials to St. Mark's Lutheran Church or donor's choice.
