KERMIT Beloved wife and mother, Vicki Lynn Stacy Duncan, went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 19, 2008.

She was born to Johnny and Patsy Stacy on August 14, 1953 in Borger, TX. She married Kary Ray Duncan of Kermit on February 19, 1972 at The Community Church in Kermit, TX. She had 2 children, Jeffrey Jon, 31 and Kelli Ray, 19.

A lover of children, she worked as the director of the Mother's Day out program at the First United Methodist Church in Kermit. She gave timeless hours and worked tirelessly for the children and families she served. Her natural giving nature also made her a lover of all animals. She never met one she didn't immediately love. Her kind and sweet personality will be missed by all who knew and were touched by her generosity.

She is preceded in death by both of her parents, Johnny and Patsy Stacy.

She is survived by her husband, Kary Duncan of Kermit; son, Jeff and wife Staci Duncan of Midland; daughter, Kelli and husband Doug Hayes of Midland; grandson, Dillon Cole Hayes; sister Cindy Smith of Midland; step-mother, Billie Stacy of Midland; step-sisters, Diane Bruce of Midland, and Shelley Sparks of Fort Stockton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at The Community Church in Kermit at 1 p.m., with burial to take place at Kermit Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to the First United Methodist Church Mother's Day Out program or the .

Services are under the personal care of Martinez-Smith and Cooper Funeral Chapel in Kermit.
