Mrs. Virgie Fennel, age 87 of West, passed away early Tuesday morning, January 3, 1989 in Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, January 5, 1988 at the West Church of Christ with Minister Leon Meek officiating and assisted by Minister Mark Augustini. Burial will follow in Vaughn Cemetery.

Mrs. Fennel was born August 15, 1901 in Hill County, the daughter of Charlie and Fannie Minnix. She lived in the West area since 1925. She married Bill Fennel on September 8, 1967 in West. He preceded her in death on March 25, 1984. She was a housewife and a member of the West Church of Christ.

Survivors include one son, Edward Lee Stacy of West; one step-son, Charles Edward Kirkpatrick of Fort Worth; one step-daughter, Frankie Lee Collins of Desert Hot Springs, California; one sister, Margie Calvary of Meridian; six grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were B.J. Barnes, Edward Gregory, Ray Lowery, Lawrence Lowery, Preston Whalen, Jr., Bill Hromadka and Bob Minix.

Aderhold Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
