Funeral services for Ann G. Smith will be held on Wednesday, September 29, 2004 at 1:30 p.m. at the First Lutheran Church in Maquoketa with Rev. Pamela Schroeder officiating. Burial will be held in the Cedar Memorial Cemetery, Cedar Rapid. Friends may call on Wednesday from 12:30 until service time at the First Lutheran Church in Maquoketa. Lahey Funeral & Cremation Services in Maquoketa is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be given to the First Lutheran Church in Maquoketa. Ann G. Stahlberg was born on December 3, 1901 in Scotch Grove, Iowa to John and Sophia (Antons) Stahlberg. She married Roy Franklin Streets on December 19, 1923 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He died in 1946. She later married LeRoy T. Smith on January 25, 1948. He died in 1965. Ann was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church, Maquoketa and the Eagles Club in Cedar Rapids. She enjoyed many years of Indian dancing, fishing, music and playing cards. She is survived by a son, Eugene (& Harriet) Streets of Maquoketa. 1 granddaughter, Pamela (Mrs. Gary) Eggers of Maquoketa. 3 great-grandchildren, 4 step-great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren, 8 step-great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three sisters and four brothers. Ann G. Smith of Maquoketa and formerly of Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin died Sunday, September 26, 2004, at Maquoketa Care Center in Maquoketa following a brief illness at the age of 102 years old.
