Mary Louise (Cameron) Peterson, 80, of Grand Rapids, MN, formerly of Bigfork, MN, died Friday, November 20, 2015 at Maplewoods Assisted Living, Cohasset, MN. She was born in 1934 in Minneapolis, MN to Herman and Alvina Stahlberg.

She attended school in Grand Rapids, MN. Mary was united in marriage to George Cameron on December 24, 1952. They raised 3 children together, Teri, Diane, and Laura. They moved several times before settling in Bigfork, MN in 1968 where Mary worked at the Bigfork Hospital as a Ward Secretary for many years. She also drove school bus in Bigfork, MN. Mary and George raised horses and would give trail rides to people that would come out to their home. Mary and George were married 36 years. Following George’s passing, she was united in marriage to Reynold “Pete” Peterson. Mary and Pete raised foster children including adopting a daughter, Kayla. Mary loved to cook, spend time with her family, camping, and four wheeling. Also, Mary and Pete traveled many places in their motor home with their dogs, even traveling to Alaska.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, George Cameron; one daughter, Diane Rukavina; and one brother, Raymond Stahlberg.

Mary is survived by her husband, Reynold “Pete”; daughters: Teri (Loren) Kinn, Laura Gilbert, Kayla Peterson; stepdaughter, Ann (Jeff) Curtis; stepson, Mark Peterson; sister, Natalie (Duane) Barrow; sister-in-law, Sandra Stahlberg; 10 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Burial was at the Bigfork Cemetery, Bigfork, MN
