Mrs. Cora Amos, 81, of 1009 Wolfe City Drive, died Sunday afternoon in a local hospital following a six weeks' illness.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Sorrells and Sons Memorial Chapel, with Rev. Roemer Huldler officiating. Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery, with nephews serving as pallbearers and Sorrells and Sons Funeral Homne in charge of arrangements.

Born Feb. 2, 1888, in Lee County, Va., she was the daughter of J.C. and Almeda Marcum Stapleton. She was married in 1937 to T.J. Amos, who preceded her in death in 1941. She was a charter member of the Central Christian Church.

Mrs. Amos is survived by four brothers, J.M. Stapleton and M.B. Stapleton, both of Greenville, W.M. Stapleton of Houston and Randolph Stapleton of Fort Worth and two sisters, Miss Myrtle Stapleton and Mrs. Ed Hoff, both of Greenville. She was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.
