Margie Stapleton Alexander, 92, of 8020 White Ave., passed away Friday, January 25, 2008, at Magnolia Place. Born December 27, 1915, in Rogersville, TN, she was the daughter of the late Calvin and Donie Long Stapleton and wife of the late Furman D. Alexander.
Mrs. Alexander was a homemaker and seamstress who loved children and her family. She was a member of Westgate Freewill Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years.
She is survived by a sister, Elizabeth S. Parker, of Spartanburg and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by an infant son, Harold Dean; three sisters, Callie and Lorena Stapleton, and Dorothy Henderson; and five brothers, John, Chris, Clayton, Tone, and Hasquie Stapleton.
The family will receive friends from 2-3:00 p.m., Sunday, January 27, 2008, at Bobo Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. officiated by Rev. Kevin Smith. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park
