He began his career in real estate with Crouch Davison Mulhall Realtors in 1965, and married Susan Smoot in 1966. Dan worked for Merrill Lynch Realty and Prudential Realty, and in 1990, Dan bought and became president of Prudential Properties of Oklahoma. He retired as president of the commercial division of Prudential Detrick Realty in 2008. In 2010, Dan was awarded lifetime membership to the Greater Tulsa Association of Realtors. Dan was devoted to community service; he served the Center for the Physically Limited as a board member and volunteer for 25 years; and following his father's footsteps, served on the board of All Souls Unitarian Church, where he also served as board president. He was an active member of the Rotary Club for more than 15 years.
Dan is survived by his wife of 46 years, Susan S. Staudt, D.O.; his three children, Barrett, Abigail, and Sarah; and four grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother, Ruth A. Staudt; his brother, David A. Staudt; and his sister, Janet S. Allen.
Memorial Service 1 pm, Thursday, February 23, 2012, at All Souls Unitarian Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Center for Individuals with Physical Challenges or the Clarehouse.
