Formerly of Regina, passed away suddenly at the age of 93. Katherine was born one of ten children born to Phillip and Emilia Staudt. In 1946 Kay married Jack Mangel, a driver for Motorway. For the next 44 years they lived in Regina. After Jack passed away in 1990, Kay kept her home but spent more time visiting family. In particular she cared for her younger sister Elsie who succumbed to arthritis in 1997. In 2001 she moved to Nelson to live with her niece Debbie (Don) Moulton. In Nelson, she thoroughly enjoyed the garden, the dogs, the food, her cat and bird, but most of all, company to exercise her wicked sense of humour on. Debbie, Don, and Kay's brother-in-law, Alfred Hoffman, were sitting ducks in her presence. Her many nieces and nephews agree that she was a "pretty fun Aunt" and that she will be missed by all. A GRAVESIDE SERVICE will be held at Regina Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Hwy #1 East, August 3, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. Arrangements are entrusted to Regina Funeral Home (306-789-8850)
