Madeline Staudt Jackson, a resident of Floresville, Texas, passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2003, at the age of 90 years and 18 days.

She was born in Floresville on May 30, 1913, to Charles and Minnie Varnon Staudt.

She attended Floresville schools and Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. On June 2, 1934, in Floresville, she married Floyd C. Jackson, who preceded her in death on March 28, 1996. Mrs. Jackson worked in supplies at Randolph Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas, and was a schoolteacher. A resident of Floresville since 1969, she was a member of the Church of Christ, the Eastern Star, and NARFE. She also was part of a visitation group at the nursing home.

Survivors include: daughter, Nancy J. Walker (Harry); grandchildren, Ann J. Martick (Dan), and Floyd P. Walker (Nikki); great-granddaughters Caroline Reed and Lindsey Walker.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 23, in the Vinyard Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Virel Vick and Pastor Gordon Lindley of the Church of Christ in Floresville officiated the services.

Music included "How Great Thou Art," "Uncloudy Days," "I'll Fly Away," "Beyond the Sunset," and "O Radiant Light," sung by her great-granddaughters Caroline and Lindsey, and her grandson, Floyd.

Interment followed in the Floresville City Cemetery.

Pallbearers were David Wahl, Clyde Keylich, Al Marsales, Charles Mott, Ted Hollister, and Bassam Nashawati.
