Born March 14, 1919, Ruth was co-owner of Miele's Market in Hillburn, NY for over forty years, she was a member of the Hillburn Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, and was pre-deceased by her husband John.
She is survived by her four children, Brian and wife Cathy Sheree Edwards and husband Fred, Gregg and wife Robin, and Lori Gulla and husband Tom; nine grandchildren, Krisitin Nicholson, Gregg Miele, Lissabeth Miele, Doug Laforge, John Miele, Alexis Miele, Cory Miele, Anthony Gulla, and Lindsay Gulla; one great-grandchild, Kiana Laforge.
Ruth's Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at Scarr Funeral Home Inc., Route 202, Suffern.
Burial will follow at Airmont Cemetery in Airmont.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Scarr Funeral Home Inc., Route 202, Suffern.
