Mrs. Anna M. Cleveland, 79, a Cortland resident most of her life died Wednesday at Cortland Nursing Home. She was the widow of Ralph E. Cleveland.
Born Oct. 19, 1890, in Covington, Pa., she was the daughter of Samuel H and Clara Cleveland Steele. Mrs. Cleveland was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cortland and the Cortland Senior Citizens.
Surviving are two daughters Mrs. E. R. (Lillian) Waldron of Cortland and Mrs. Richard (Gladys) Lawrence of Otego; three sons, Ralph Cleveland of Nedro, Ronald Cleveland of Cortland, and Lt. Col. Howard Cleveland of Penner, Middlesex England; 22 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and cousins.
Services will be at 11 am Saturday at Wright-Beard Funeral home, the Rev. Lawrence Plumley officiating. Interment was erroneously given in yesterday’s obituary as Cortland Rural Cemetery. Interment will be in the Glenwood Cemetery in Homer.
