Thelma Rose Embrich, nee Steinhauser, 88, born, Sept. 17, 1926, in Dupo, Ill., went to Heaven, Monday, February 2, 2015, at NHC of Deloge, Deloge, Mo. Thelma was a life time resident of St. Clair County until 2004, when she moved to Park Hills, Mo., to live with her brother, "Jim" and sister-in-law, "Pat". Thelma was a 50 year member of the American Legion, Dupo, Ill. Thelma obtained her real estate license in the 1980's and worked for the John Camp Real Estate office in Dupo, selling real estate. She was a member of the Democratic Club for many years in St. Clair County and was personal friends with many of the leaders in Springfield, Ill. She served many years with the Prairie Du Pont Fire Dept. as President/Vice President/ Secretary and Treasurer. She belonged to the Conservation Group and was an officer. Thelma ran the Nutrition Center in Dupo, Ill., and was a great resource for the Seniors she served. Thelma will sadly be missed by all who loved her.Thelma was preceded in death by her husband, John Embrich; a daughter, Rose Ann Boland, nee Embrich; two sons, John Allen Embrich, Sr., and Phillip Embrich; a granddaughter, Diane Weekley and an infant grandson, Phillip Embrich; her parents, Eugene Stienhauser and Rose Violet Goss, nee Renois; her step-father, Walter Goss; two brothers, Harold Steinhauser and Ronald Goss; a sister, Mary Shovlin (also known as Shirley Steinhauser). Thelma leaves behind a son, Richard Alan Embrich of Marissa, Ill.; five grandchildren, Larry Wayne Weekley, John Stephen Weekley of Perryville, Mo., John Allen Embrich of Florida, Jeremy Alan Embrich of Marissa, Ill., and Jamie Lyn (Fianc‚ Joe Kern) Embrich of Shiloh, Ill.; great grandchildren, Caitlin Embrich, Tinley Kern, Cody Kern of Shiloh, IL.; Caleb, Josie and Emily Weekley of Perryville, Mo.; and Alex Embrich of Chester, Ill.; two brothers, George Goss of Hisperia, Calif., and James and Patricia Goss of Park Hills, Mo.; and a sister, Ms. Betty Reeves of Newburg, Mo. Also surviving are 12 nieces and nephews and numerous great-nieces and nephews. Thelma leaves behind many friends and a special family, James and Shirley Long, of Dupo. Ill. Memorials in Thelma's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital .
