Obituary.
Vella Morine, youngest daughter of William and Annie Stethem, was born near Marshall, O , Oct. 25, 1896 passed to life immortal April 19, 1908,at 5 o'clock in the morning, being 12 years 5 months and 21 days of age. Last December, during the revival service at the Christian Union Church at Marshall, Vella united with the church and was converted, and was an earnest consecrated worker until the day of her passing away, She was all enthusiasm on Saturday before Easter for the Sunday service, but she spent the day in the better life with her Risen Lord. At our last preaching service she led the song service, singing her favorite song, "When the Roll is Called I'll Be There." At night, after the fatal accident which resulted in her demise, she sang 'I'm Going Home to Die No More," after which she offered a most earnest prayer for herself and family. Just before she left them she waved her hand, saying, "A happy, Easter, papa," Vella was a very bright minded girl for her age, loving, kind and gladsome. As her father said to her pastor, "She was much of the sunshine of our home." We are thus reminded that we must part, and parting weep. What else has earth for us in store ?

These farewell pangs how sharp and deep!
These farewell tears how sad how sore!

Yet we shall meet again
To sing the song of festal joy
Where naught shall our peace molest
Or none our fellowship destroy.

Her funeral service was conducted at the C. U. Church at Marshall April 21, at 11 o'clock in the presence of a very large concourse of relatives and friends by her pastor. Rev. R. A. M. Johnson, of Bethel, interment in C. U. cemetery.
