Dwight Stetbam Funeral services- were held at the Methodist church in Kenesaw Friday' afternoon for Dwight Stetham 't former resident of tills community and the! body was laid to rest beside ) his wife in the family lot In Kenesay cemetery The Stetham family form- !erly resided in this community and Jare remembered by many of the old ! residents here It is recalled by old ! residents that they lived in the early years of the 20th century some 35 (years ago in 'a "dugout" residence where John Ramsey now lives Later (they occupied the Shedd ranch noith of Kenesaw Mr Stetham was born nea Mound City Mo Oct 21 1863 In 1865 he moved to -Nebraska He was united in marriage to Ella Jane Grooms May 10 1885 and to this union 9 'children were born 5 of whom have preceded him in death His wife was laid to rest in the Kenesaw cemetery 7 years ago The surviving- children are Charley Stethem o£ Patricia S D and Lula Schriener of Riverton Nebr There are three sisters Dru-1 cilia Hoppes and Kate Robbins of Burwell Nebr Josie Baker of Pauline Nebr and one brother John 1 Stethem of Pauline There is ar ' adopted son Leo of Patricia S D 26 grandchildren and three great grand children

Mr. Stethem passed away at the home of his son Guy, 1 p. m., June 16, aged 74 years, 7 months and 25 days. The service here was in charge of Rev. H. H. Proett, pastor of the church, and the song service was by Mrs. Chas Gearhart and Mrs. Alma Dykeman.

Funeral services were held here I Friday afternoon at the Methodist church for Dwight Stethem, who died at the home of his son, Guy Stethem at Patricia, South Dakota, June 16th. Burial was in the Kenesaw cemetery (sic). The Rev. H. H. Proett of Juniata officiated. Dwight Stethem was born near Mound City, Missouri, October 31 1863. He married Ella Jane Grooms (sic) May 10, 1865 (sic). They had nine children, five whom preceded him in death. The children living are Charles and Guy of Patricia, South Dakota, Mrs. Nellie Montey of Red Cloud, Mrs. Lulu Schriner of Riverton. - Riverton Review.
