Clarice "Claudette" Broussard was born on August 17, 1938 in Lacassine, Louisiana to John P. and Edna Guidry Stevens. She came to California in the late 1950's and married her beloved husband, Linus "Leonard" Broussard in 1979.

Clarice was a devoted wife and mother, besides her own children, she opened her home and her heart to may foster children that she loved as her own. Clarice became a faithful member of Deliverence Temple Baptist Church in the early 1960's under the direction of the late Bishop Thomas Butler and there she served as a loyal mother of the church.

Clarice departed this life on January 20, 2013 and is preceeded in death by her husband Linus Broussard, grand-daughter Nicole S. Jones, mother Edna Stevens, father John P. Stevens, two sisters Gladys Huntsberry and Alice Steves, six brothers Calvin, Clarence, Eurick, Dave, Peter and Earnest Stevens.

Mourning her departure, yet cherishing her memory remains two sons five daughters,one godson,one goddaughter,one brother, seventeen grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
