Mrs. Julia Stone Anderson, 82, of Rock Fork Road, Morehead, passed away Thursday, August 17, 2017 at her home.

She was born on August 21, 1934 in Rowan County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Ted and Cressie Plank Stone.

Mrs. Anderson was a homemaker.

She was a member of the Flat Fork Church of God and the Order of the Eastern Star # 227.

Julia enjoyed sewing, cooking and caring for her home.

Survivors include two daughters, Norma (Talmadge) Porter of Morehead and Patsy (Jerry) Stephens of Morehead, two grandsons, Earl Gerome Stephens of Atlanta, Georgia and Jerry Gayler (Julie) Stephens of Morehead and one great-grandson, Layden Thomas Howard.

Private services will be conducted with Brother Herbert D. Lewis officiating and burial will be in the Hogge Cemetery at Cranston.

Pallbearers will be Jack Anderson, Layden Howard, Dwayne Anderson, Johnny Back, Daniel Craft and Anthony Anderson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Justin Anderson and Mark Hamilton.

Contributions are suggested to the Shriners Hospital for Children, St. Claire Hospice or a Charity of one's choice.

The Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead is caring for arrangements.
