Ella Mae (Stone) Bajer, age 62, of Waco, formerly of West, passed away early Tuesday morning, January 16, 1996 at her residence.

A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today (Thursday) at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in Waco, with Rev. Angelo Bertini and Rev. Richard Byer as concelebrants. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in West.

Mrs. Bajer was born September 18, 1933 in West, the daughter of Ota C. and Roxie Stone. She attended schools in West and Ross. She married Jimmie Bajer on April 15, 1952 in West. They moved to Waco in 1954.

She was a housewife and mother. She worked at the West Cafe from 1950 to 1952. She then served as a hostess at the Kendrick Elementary School Cafeteria from 1970 to 1981 and then was a child care giver at the Peter Pan School from 1986 until she retired in 1993. She loved taking care of children.

She was a devoted member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in Waco for many years. She was also a member of the St. Mary's Rosary Making Circle, Our Lady of the Eucharist Cenacle, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2148 Ladies Auxiliary.

She is preceded in death by one son, Jimmie Bajer, Jr. who died March 31, 1956.

Survivors include her husband, Jimmie Bajer of Waco; two daughters, Judith Karen Bajer Kaska and Janet Marie Bajer Bezdek, both of Waco; eight brothers, Roy D. Stone and O.C. Stone, both of Waco, James Stone and Jerry Stone, both of West, Clovis Stone of Fort Worth, Donald Stone of Arlington, Thomas Stone of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Bobby Stone of Ross; two sisters, Willie Lois Morgan of Abbott and Helen Fellner of Sturtavent, Wisconsin; three grandchildren, Jeff Michael Bezdek, Amanda Joe Kaska and James Michael Bezdek, all of Waco; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Angelo Florez, Orlando Florez, Fred Fellner, Warren Lloyd Vavra, Louis James Bajer, David Bajer, Kelly Stone and Billy Stone. Honorary pallbearer is Jimmy Price.

Aderhold Funeral Home in West is in charge of arrangements.
