James W. Strange, age 88, of Flora, IL died at 2:05 PM on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at the Flora Rehab & Health Care Center in Flora.

James was born October 1, 1924 in Wayne County, IL to George Wesley Strange and Bertha Ann (Brewer) Strange. He worked in manufacturing and had been married to Stella Decker.

He is survived by his daughter: Sandra K. Talarico (husband Anthony); a brother: John Strange (wife Darlene); a sister: Catherine Dulaney; three grandchildren: Celeste Hemminger, Sondra Lang, Terry Lee Lang, Jr.; and three great-grandchildren: Katrina Ramsey, Justus Shepperd, and Landon Hemminger.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers (Charles, Leonard, and Loren Strange), and three sisters (Agnes Ohls, Beatrice Young, and Marjorie Strange).

There will be no services. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery, Flora.

The Frank & Bright Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
