Mary Stroud Gleave, 81, of Dexter, MO., died Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter. Mrs. Gleave was born March 22, 1029 at Broseley, MO. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church. She was a homemaker and had formerly worked at the Head Start in Dexter. She enjoyed traveling, sewing and quilting. She married Norman L. Gleave on Dec. 31, 1951. He preceded her in death April 14, 1982. Survivors include one son: Ronald D. Gleave of Dexter; two daughters: Kathy Gleave of Malden and Mary L. Schaffel of Dexter; one brother: Johnny Stroud of Philadelphia, PA; one sister: Vestina Mabry of Poplar Bluff; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Visitation will be at 6:00 pm on Friday at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk. The funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Saturday at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk with Rev Jim Sanders officiating. Burial will be at Brown Chapel Cemetery at Broseley, MO.
