Not a lot is currently known about Elizabeth except that she died in Knox County, Missouri at the age of 84 years. She had lived with her son Calvin G. Sams and his family in her final years and it was recorded in family history that she was buried at the Baker Cemetery before the rest of the family moved West to Crosby, North Dakota in 1906.
Her maiden name was either Stroud or possibly Strouse. Records on this are not clear.
She was the wife of Isaac Sams and together they had numerous other children in addition to Calvin. I will add links for them as I find them.
The family was known to have lived in Appanoose County, Iowa at least until 1860, before moving to Knox County, Missouri. The family also lived in Ohio prior to moving to Iowa.
