Helen D Keefe, 88, a
long-time Yonkers resident,
died Sunday at Yonkers
Professional Hospital after
a brief illness.
She was born in London,
Kngland Dec. 7, 1888 and
was brought to Yonkers as
a child. She attended Yonkers schools and was a parishioner of the Monastery
Church of the Sacred Heart
Mrs Keefe was married
to Eugene F. Keefe Sr on
Sept. 28, 1910 in St. Mary's
Church He predeceased her
in 1924.
A deputy court clerk for
the citv of Yonkers from
1947 to 1960, she had also
worked for the Department
of Public Welfare in YonkShe is survived by two
sons, Eugene F. (Buzzy) of
White Plains; Thomas X
of North Tonawanda, N.Y.;
a daughter, Mrs. Humphrey
(Irene) Sarlo of Purchase,
a sister, Mrs. Hanna Schaub
of Yonkers; 9 grandchildren; and 4- great-grandchildren
A son James A. predeceased her
