Eileen Sullivan Dezell died on Saturday, September 9, 2006, in Renaissance Gardens at Oak Crest, in Parkville, MD, following a long illness. She was 79. A daughter of the late Raymond F. Sullivan and Marion Reilly Sullivan of Scarsdale, Mrs. Dezell was born in New York City and grew up in Scarsdale, where she attended the Immaculate Heart of Mary School. She graduated from Ursuline Academy in New Rochelle (1946) and from Trinity College, Washington, D.C., in 1950. A retired public school guidance counselor who for 30 years made her home in Baltimore Country, MD and South Chatham, MA. Mrs. Dezell is survived by five children: Maureen Dezell of Brookline, MA., John Dezell of Media, PA, Tom Dezell of Bel Air, MD, Elizabeth McGowan of Crofton, MD, and James Dezell of Pound Ridge, NY; her brother Rev. R.F. Sullivan, of Maryknoll, NY; her sister, Sheila Sullivan Teschemacher of Jupiter, FL, and nine grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, September 13, 10:00 AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary, Scarsdale, NY. Interment Holy Mount Cemetery, Eastchester, NY.
