Odilla Sullivan Adkinson, 85, of Platt Rd., Marcellus, died July 5 at her home. She was born in Seneca Falls and lived in Geneva for most of her life. Mrs. Adkinson was a 1934 graduate of William Smith College. She was an administrator at Hobart & William Smith Colleges for more than 20 years. She later joined the staff of Geneva City School District and taught 5th grade for 20 years, retiring in 1977. Surviving are a son, Col. Laurence Adkinson Jr. of Woodbridge, VA.; a daughter, Eugenia A. Barnes of Marcellus; 6 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.
Services were July 9 at the St. Francis Xavier Church, Marcellus. The family will receive friends immediately following services at the Barnes home on Platt Rd. Contributions may be made to the memorial fund of the Marcellus Fire Department or to the Marcellus Free Library.
