Virginia Ruth Sullivan Aubry
Resident of San Jose

Virginia, 87, was born the oldest daughter of Martin Edwin and Virginia Grace Forbes Sullivan on June 18, 1926 in Potsdam, New York and passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2014. She married her late husband Patrick William Aubry on Dec. 9, 1950.

She was a wonderful, loving woman and teacher, empowering young people with knowledge, working with the San Jose Unified School System. She had a lifetime interest in Girl and Boy Scouting; earning a Boy Scout Training Merit Medal. She was on the Board of Directors of the American Ceremony Program Society and traveled to attend First Day Ceremonies. She belonged to ACPS, APS and AARP. She taught First Aid Courses for the Red Cross. She was a 50 year member of the D.A.R.

Virginia was preceded in death by her husband Pat; and her sisters Clare and Martha. She is survived by her daughters Patricia Anne Jynes, Linda Aiken and her husband Roger; her son Martin Aubry and his wife Rhonda Tramble; grandchildren, Miranda, Cynthia Amster and her husband Troy, Jesse and his wife Erin; and great-grandchildren, Aubrey and Isabella.

Family and friends are invited to visit Thursday, January 30th from 6 to 8:00 p.m. at Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary, 466 N Winchester Blvd. A Funeral will be held Friday, January 31st at 1:00 p.m. at Hope Lutheran Church, 2383 Pacific Dr. in Santa Clara. Interment will be in Bayside Cemetery in Potsdam, New York at a later date.
