Florence Elizabeth Bargerstock, 82, of Raccoon Township, died Thursday, Nov. 7, 2002, in The Medical Center, Beaver, following a brief illness.

Born Feb. 8, 1920, in Freedom, a daughter of the late Edward P. and Lena Kilgore Sweeney, she had been a resident of Raccoon Township since 1946 and was a member of the United Bethlehem Church, Shippingport.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George E. Bargerstock, in 1989, and a son, Jackie K. Bargerstock, in 1996.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Mason (Mick) and Cindy Bargerstock, Raccoon Township; four daughters and two sons-in-law, Diana (Sis) Phillips, Raccoon Township; Florence Amy Rhines, Hookstown, and Georgia (Sue) and Kenneth Wilson and Lori and John Wilson, all of Independence Township; a sister, Dorothy Neuber, Nashville, Tenn., 26 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the WELCH FUNERAL HOME, Hookstown, where the Rev. Richard Liptak will conduct a service on Monday at 11 a.m.

Interment will be in Bethlehem Church Cemetery, Shippingport.

Florence was a grandmother of and a shepherd of many lost sheep who she took in and treated as if they were her own.
