JOHNSON, Dorothy Almeria Symonette, of Tampa, passed away
Wednes-day, June 2, 2010. She was a native of Florida and a resident of Tampa for 49 years. She attended Hillsborough Community College, and was a member of the Bible Based Fellowship Church. She retired from Tampa General Hospital in 2002, after serving proudly as a nurse' s aide for over 30 years. Survivors include her daughters, Pastor Alecia Johnson-Thomas, Tanya Johnson-Williams (Rudy), and Andrea Burnette (Chris); sons, Johnnie Johnson Jr. (Melissa), Keith Johnson (Chinok), Dwayne Johnson, Pastor Alfred Johnson (Donna), and Calvin Johnson; grand-children, Zachary Powell (Tawanna), Shauntrel Morris, Steven Pearson, William Burnette, Lisa Pearson, Jamae Morris, Dewayne Pearson, Marlon Burnette, Candace Booker (Otis), Johnnie Johnson III, JeNaye Johnson, Keith Johnson Jr., Micah Johnson, Josiah Johnson, Leila Johnson, Elanna Johnson, Taylor Johnson, Isaiah Johnson, Jeremiah Johnson, Savannah Johnson, Eudaya Johnson, Calvin Johnson Jr., and Angelina Johnson; great-grandchildren, Zachary Powell Jr., Olivia Burnette, Bleu Burnette, Amari James, Serena Pearson, Anaria Richardson, Zacharia Cobbs, Leilanni Sanchez, and Isaiah Burnette; brothers, Calvin Smith, Alfred Symonette, Oliver Symonette, and Henry Symonette; sisters, Doretha Wilcox and Eloise Brantley; and a host of other sorrowing relatives and friends. Funeral services will take place at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 8, 2010, at the Center for Manifestation, 3102 East Lake Avenue, with Pastor Alfred Johnson, officiating. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Monday, June 7, 2010 and the family will receive friends 7-8 p.m., at Ray Williams Funeral Home. (813) 253-3419
