Esther Leona Barber, 97, of Nicholls, GA passed away on Sunday, December 04, 2011 at her home following an extended illness. Mrs. Barber was born December 16, 1913 to the late William and Ellen Talman in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Survivors include: 4 daughters, Carolyn Sue Prescott of Nicholls, GA; Joyce Darlene Westberry of Nicholls, GA; Anita Esther DeBoer of Mandarin, FL; Faye Ann Volz of Panama City Beach, FL. 3 sisters, Loretta Brady of Kendalville, Indiana; Elwilda Lewis of Jackson Gap, Alabama; and Evelyn Pangburn of Jackson Gap, Alabama. 20 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and several great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Marcus S Barber, Jr.
Memorialization was by cremation.
Funeral services were held Saturday, December 10, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home.
Sims Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
