Mrs. Lena Cresswell, 88, Gilman, died at 6:50 p.m. Tuesday at Iroquois Memorial Hospital.
The daughter of Mr. and Mrs, Hike Tammen, she was born Aug. 29, 1885 in Danforth. She was married Feb. 21, 1906 in Gilman to Walter Cresswell who died Aug 12, 1939.
Mrs. Cresswell is survived by daughter Mrs. Louise Danforth of Pontiac; son Harold of Piper City; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and sister Mrs. Louise Vieregge of Anaheim, California.
She was a member of Zion United Church of Christ where the Rev. Donald Hartman will conduct funeral services at 1 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in the Thawville Cemetery.
There will be visitation from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Danforth Funeral Home, Roberts, and after noon Friday at the church.
