TAYLOR, Alice - Peacefully at the Eden Valley Hospice on 18th June 2009, Alice much loved mum, nana, great nana, sister and aunt. Alice will be sadly missed by all family and friends. Funeral service to be held at Stanwix Cemetery Chapel on Thursday, 25th June 2009 at 2.30pm, followed by cremation at Carlisle Crematorium. Family flowers only, donations if so desired to Cancer Research, c/o Michael Walsh Funeral Directors. No dark clothing to be worn at Alice's request.Taylor, Alice M. passed away June 26 at the age of 71. Alice was born April 6, 1938 to Daniel and Adele Tyree. She was a member of Wayman AME Church where she served currently as a greeter and was noted for her strong Godly hugs. She served on the P.E.A.C.E Prison Ministry, registration for vacation Bible school. Alice was a wonderful cook and spent most of her life loving, feeding and caring for people. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Acie Taylor; son, Ned (Butch) Tyree; and brothers, Tommy, John and Charles Tyree. Survived by daughters, Donna of Richfield, Pat (Shawn) Mason, and Melanie Taylor of OKC, OK, Theresa Corbitt of Donora, PA; sons, James and Barry Taylor of Richfield; brother, Russell Tyree of Monesson, PA, sisters, Lillian and Martha Tyree, Blanche Patterson of Donora, PA, Nancy Tyree of Minneapolis; and close cousin, Donald Miller of New Eagle, PA. She also leaves to cherish her memory 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Interment Lakewood Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Church on Wednesday 5-8 PM and also 1 hour prior to the service at 11 AM on Thursday all at Wayman AME Church, 1221 7th Ave N., Mpls. Washburn-McReavy Davies Chapel
