Margaret J. Duran, 97, of Whitehall died Friday, December 30, 2016 at Whitehall Manor. Born September 5, 1919 in Fountain Hill she was the daughter of the late James and Mary Taylor. She was married to Gilbert C. Duran for 47 years until his death on May 12, 1994.

Margaret was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church in Whitehall. She dedicated herself to her family.

Survivors: Margaret will be lovingly remembered by her son, Timothy Duran and wife Janet of Germansville, PA, sister, Elizabeth Hinkle of Allentown, granddaughters, Shannon Church and husband Eric of New Tripoli and Jennifer Strahn-Duran and husband Ehren of Anchorage, AK, and great grandchildren, Watson Timothy Church and McKenna Kelly Church both of New Tripoli. She was preceded in death by her sons, James and Richard Duran, brothers, Robert and James Taylor and sisters, Mary Spirk and Isabel Hutchinson.

Services: A viewing will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 8:30-9:30 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic Church 618 Fullerton Ave., Whitehall, PA 18052 at 10 AM. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery in Bethlehem.
