Flossie Tennant's mother died when she was about a few months and her grandmother Christine Core Tennant and her Aunt Mollie Myers raised her. Flossie's first husband was Ira Wright died of the flu in 1919. After he died Flossie came to Cassville to work in a boarding house. The boarding house was located were the honor roll is today. She did not get a salary, but did get room and board. This was during the coal boom on Scott's Run. Her job was keeping the house clean and the bed ready for the miners.
