Ossie B. Cross, 100, of Jakes Run Road, Fairview, WV died Thursday, February 17, 2005 at her home. She was born July 25, 1904 at Jakes Run, a daughter of the late Nelson Tennant and Margaret Wilson Tennant.

Mrs. Cross was a homemaker.

Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Ruby H. and Donald R. Brookover; two grandsons, Gary R. Brookover and Gene L. Brookover and his spouse, Ginger, all of Jakes Run; one great-granddaughter, Laurie N. Sinclair; and one great-great grandson, Lucas J. Cozart of Core.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Cross, who died on August 8, 1998. They were married on October 19, 1922. She was also preceded in death by nine brothers, Freddie, Russel, Lemley (Chuck), Andy, John, Bill, Roy, Nelson Jr (Jude), and Wayne (Nick) Tennant; and two sisters, Emma Tennant Moore and Mary Tennant Wilson.

The family would like to thank Morgantown Hospice for the loving care and support show to Mrs. Cross and her family.

Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 2-4 & 7-9 PM Saturday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 1:00 PM Sunday with the Pastor Rob Bennett officiating. Interment will follow in the Olive Cemetery at Pentress.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Jakes Run Assembly of God Church Building Fund, in care of Dwayne Tennant, Treasurer, 10 Thomas Run Road, Fairview, WV 26570
