Adele M. Bovasso (nee: Thomas), a lifelong resident of Jersey City, passed away peacefully July 8, 2013 at Barnabas Health Hospice at Monmouth Medical Center after a brief and sudden illness. Adele recently celebrated her 82nd Birthday. She lived her entire life in the house on Summit Avenue that she was born in.

Until her retirement about 18 months ago, Adele was employed at Liberty House Nursing Home as a Patient Accounts Supervisor. She started her career there after many years of being a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Earlier in her life she worked for 1st Jersey National Bank.

She was a graduate of Lincoln High School in Jersey City. Adele was an avid crafter and cook. She loved to share things she made with everyone who came to her home.

Adele was predeceased by her husband Louis E. Bovasso, her son Louis E. Jr., and brothers Harry, William, Daniel, Edward and Louis Thomas.

She is survived by her eldest sister Katherine Rodi; devoted son Jay D. Bovasso; loving daughter Adele Fugel and son-in-law Mark Fugel; devoted daughter-in-law Carol Bovasso; grandchildren Kenneth, Heather, Matthew, Kaitlyn and great-grandchildren Allyssa and Anleigh; also her devoted cousin Kathy Davis, nephews Harry Thomas, Richie Thomas and Edward Rodi and nieces Deborah Rodi and Lois Clifford.

All are invited to assemble at the funeral home Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m. prior to a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Aedans R.C. Church on Bergen Ave. at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
