Violet Nighthart Albright, 92, Bellefonte, died Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2005, at Centre Crest Nursing Home, Bellefonte. Born July 21, 1913, in Bellefonte, she was the daughter of the late Charles A. and Rose Bickle Tierney. She was first married to John A. Nighthart in 1938. He died in 1958. She later married Raymond Albright in 1964. He died in 1987. She had owned and operated several restaurants in the area, and retired from Penn State. She had attended Curtin United Methodist Church. Surviving are a daughter, Patty Nighthart Bowes and husband, Tom, of Howard; two sisters, Velda "Dot" Borger, of Bellefonte and Love Confer, of State College; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a companion, Calvin Hinton, of Howard. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Maryann Emel, in 1998, and by 11 brothers and sisters. Funeral Saturday, Dec. 10, at W. Robert Neff Funeral Home, Howard, Rev. Ruth Donahue officiating.
