Fran passed away peacefully at her daughter's home on March 20, 2015 surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born January 16, 1940 to Allen and Florence Tierney in Hartford, Connecticut.

She married her husband of fifty-two years, Dave, on October 28, 1961. Fran and Dave moved their family from Old Saybrook, Connecticut to Salt Lake City in 1979.

Fran graduated from Saint Francis Hospital School of Nursing in 1961 and spent many years as an emergency room nurse at Holy Cross Hospital.

She was one of the original emergency room nurses at Jordan Valley Hospital. In her spare time, she enjoyed being a Life Flight nurse and camp nurse.

Fran loved spending time with her family and friends at the cabin they built "Sky Blue Ranch" in Coalville, where Fran enjoyed snowmobiling, riding 4-wheelers, fishing, and spending time with the grandkids.

In her later years, she enjoyed spending a month each winter in Oceanside, California.

She is survived by her children, Christine (Andrew) Bayless, Beth (Shaun) Corey, Dee (Lori Taylor) Albrycht, Sue (Dan) Perkins, and Katy (John) Bertola; fourteen grandchildren (her pride and joy); her siblings, Allen Tierney, Nancy (Joel) Graham, Mary Beth (David) Beck, Tom (Paul Sakai) Tierney, and sister-in-law, Winnie Tierney; and her beloved cat, Calli. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her brothers, David and Steven.

The family would like to thank the staff at Saint Joseph's Villa, especially Andrew and Katasha for taking such good care of our mother over the past year. We would also like to thank Symbii Home Health and Hospice for their love, compassion, and support they showed our family.

A viewing in our mothers honor will be held on Monday, March 23, 2015 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., followed by a graveside service at 11:00 a.m. in the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 South Highland Drive (1495 East), East Millcreek.
