Mrs. Alma Eckelberger, 79, a former Emlenton resident, died at 2 a.m. today in the Valley Nursing Home in Dorseyville. She had been in failing health and had resided in the Home since January.

She was born May 11, 1889, in Atlanta, Ga., the daughter of Mentzer and Clotilda Rainville Tilbury.

She married Albert Allen in 1908 and he preceded her in death. In 1935 she married Earl Eckelberger and came to live in Emlenton at that time. He died in 1967.

She was a member of the Fertigs Gospel Tabernacle.

She is survived by two sons, Frank and Linn Allen.

Friends may call at the Criswell Funeral Home, Emlenton, beginning Saturday.

Funeral services will be conducted that the funeral home at 2 p.m. Sunday by the Rev. Harvey Boocks, pastor of the Fretigs Gospel Tabernacle. Interment will be in the Emlenton Cemetery.
