Helen Irene Tosh Beall, 89, of New Bethlehem, died early Tuesday morning, Feb. 17, 2004, in Jefferson Manor, Brookville, following a lengthy illness.

Born Aug. 13, 1914, in Porter Township, Clarion County, she was the daughter of James B. and Hattie Henry Tosh.

Mrs. Beall was a member of the New Bethlehem Presbyterian Church for more than 80 years and was an elder of the church. She was a homemaker and worked as a sales clerk for the former Krutzels Clothing Store in New Bethlehem.

On May 16, 1932, she married Gerald A. Beall, who died Jan. 14, 1997. Surviving are a daughter-in-law, Rebecca W. Beall of New Bethlehem; a grandson, David A. Beall and his wife, Sheri, of Irving, Texas; and three great-grandchildren: Nicholas Beall, Erin Beall and Megan Beall, all of Irving, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Beall was preceded in death by a son, Richard L. Beall, in 1991; two sisters, Mable Cooley and Pauline Shankle; and seven brothers, Harry Tosh, Robert Tosh, Theodore Tosh, Arthur Tosh, Albert Tosh, Homer Tosh and James Tosh.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Rupert Funeral Home in New Bethlehem and from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday in the New Bethlehem Presbyterian Church. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the church with the Rev. Richard Hartsfield, pastor, officiating.

Interment will follow in the New Bethlehem Cemetery.
