ALBRO, ESTHER E. (TUBMAN), 83, of Greenwood Street, a homemaker, died Wednesday in Kent County Memorial Hospital, Warwick. She was the wife of the late George E. Albro.

Born in Taunton, MA, a daughter of the late Benjamin S. and Susan (Abbott) Tubman, she had lived in Cranston for four years, having previously lived in Warwick for 35 years.

She is survived by four sons Duane E. Albro of Cranston, Steven S. Albro (W.P.D. Ret.) of Woodsville, NH, Glenn P. Albro of Kirtland, New Mexico, George S. Albro of Cranston; a daughter Nancy L. Davis of Olney, Maryland; three brothers Donald Tubman of N.Y., George Tubman of Rumford, and Neil Tubman of Greenville; two sisters Joyce Travis of Providence and Eleanor Schofield of CA; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Phillip Tubman and Ruth Dittfach.

Her funeral will held Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. in THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Rt. 5, Greenwood, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95). Burial will follow in Pawtuxet Memorial Park, Warwick. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Monday 6-8 p.m.
