Nellie Louise Allen, age 99, of Hartselle, AL died Friday, February 22, 2013 in Hartselle. Ms. Allen was a native and resident of Jefferson County most of her life and was a member of the Fairfield Highlands Baptist Church over 60 years. She was an avid gardener and lived in Hartselle since 2005. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roswell Walker Allen, Sr., one son, Donald Floyd Allen. She is survived by two sons, James R. Allen, Sr. (Theoria); Roswell Walker Allen, Jr; three grandchildren, Ricky Allen (Carole), Floyd Allen (Joanna), and Candie Bratton (Eddie); seven grandchildren; one great grandchild; Caregiver, Gurney Yates. A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at 12 noon at Valhalla Cemetery with the Rev.'s Ed Cruce and Harry Sims officiating.
