Lois Tucker Bobo
BERRY Lois Tucker Bobo, age 87, of Berry, died Feb. 17, 2007 at Glen Haven LTC Center. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Norwood Chapel in Fayette, with Mark McGuire officiating. Burial will follow in the Fayette Memorial Garden Cemetery with Norwood Chapel directing.
Lois was born on January 15, 1920 in Carbon Hill, Alabama. She graduated from Berry High School in 1939. She lived in the Berry-Junction Community the past 20 years. She formerly lived in the Brownville Community for 20 years. Lois was a member of the Central Church of Christ. She worked at Brown Wood Preserving Company for 25 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew Jackson Tucker and Flossia Sawyer Tucker; sister, Myrtle Tucker Aldridge; brother, Horace B. Tucker, and daughter-in-law, Carolyn Pegeus Bobo.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 67 years, Ray Bobo; son Foy R. Bobo of Northport; daughter, Anita Bobo Morris (Ron) of Fayette; sister, Bessie Tucker Bagwell (Charles) of Bankston; grandchildren, Lisa Rooker, Mike Bobo (Heather), Tom Bobo, Charlotte JeBailey (John), Leigh Kennedy (Scott), Andrew Gordon, John T. Gordon (Joy), Martha Gordon and Charles Morris; great grandchildren, Lauren and Dalton Rooker, Sierra and Victoria Bobo, Zayna, Julia and Jack JeBailey, Neely Gordon and a host of nieces and nephews.
Lois was the perfect example of the worthy woman in Proverbs 31. She loved her family with a passion and had only kind words to speak to anyone. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.
Pallbearers will be Blaine Colburn, Steve Fowler, Randy Greene, Dalton Kelly, Williard Tyner and Guerry Pirkle.
Honorary pallbearers are neighbors and employees at Brownville (Brown Wood Preserving Company), members of Central Church of Christ, and her neighbors and friends at Berry.
