Bishop - Bessie Maxey Turnbull, 95, wife of the late Edward Turnbull, died Friday, May 04, 2007 at University Nursing and Rehab Center.A native of Oconee County, she was the daughter of the late James C. and Mamie Maxey.
She was a homemaker and seamstress. She was a member of Union Christian Church. Mrs. Turnbull was also preceded in death by her sisters: Clyde Autry, Eulalah Autry, Modine Aycock, Angie Belle Dickens, Myrtle Gregory, Lollie Hill; brothers: Tommy, Hugh, Clarence, Ernest, Carl and Paul Maxey.She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held 3PM, Sunday, May 6, 2007 at Evergreen Memorial Park with Rev. Buford Lockman officiating. Visitation will be held tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.Oconee Chapel Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
