Angela Renee "Angel" Turner, 44, of Waldorf, Maryland and formerly of the Granite City, Illinois area passed away at her home on Monday, March 26, 2012. She was born November 29, 1967 in East St. Louis, Illinois, the daughter of Julian D. King of Granite City and the late Jannie K. (Holifield) King. She married Christopher D. Shady on June 2, 1998 in Albuquerque, New Mexico and he survives. Mrs. Turner was a retired United States Air Force Master Sergeant where she proudly served her country as security police and had served in Operation Desert Shield/Storm and Operation Allied Force. She enjoyed her retirement and loved spending time with her dogs, Charlie and Milo. She will be remembered for the love and special times shared with her family and friends. In addition to her beloved husband and father, she is survived by one cherished daughter, Kristen Theobald of Waldorf, Maryland; three brothers, Jerry King, Terry King and Daniel (Monica) King; other extended family and friends.
In celebration of her life, visitation will be at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City on Thursday, April 5, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. where funeral services will be held on Friday, April 6, 2012 at 10:30 a.m.
Burial with full military honors will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri.
