Helen May Abbott, age 90, Lee's Summit, passed away Wednesday, February 17, 1993 at White Ridge Health Center in Lee's Summit. She was born in Pocatello, Idaho August 18, 1902, the daughter of Stonewall W. and Fannie Lenora (May) Turner.
She attended Baylor School of Nursing and worked 20 years as a Registered Nurse at Baylor Hospital in San Antonio, Tx. She retired in 1942 and married Charles W. Abbott August 12, 1942 in Buffalo, Mo. They made their home in Preston until 1969 when Mr. Abbott preceded her in death. From 1969 until 1991 Mrs. Abbott lived in Kingsville. She moved to Lee's Summit in July 1991. She was a member of the central Christian Church in San Antonio, Tx.
Surviving her are one daughter, Willa Driskill, Lone Jack; two grandchildren, Charlena Maychele Driskill and Jamie Merle Driskill; and three great-grandchildren. Her husband, one son, a brother, a sister and a grandson preceded her in death.
Funeral services were Saturday, February 20, 1993 at Ben Cast & Son-Wood Funeral Home, Holden. Burial was in Greenlawn Cemetery, Rich Hill.
