"Abernathy Rites to Be Held Sunday at Jackson Church"

The remains of Mrs. Roy Abernathy, who died at a St. Louis hospital Friday afternoon from internal injuries received when she was knocked down and run over by an automobile last Saturday, October 3, will be brought here tonight. Funeral services will be Sunday afternoon at 2:30, at the Methodist church at Jackson with Rev. P. A. Kasey officiating. Interment will be in the Russell Heights cemetery, west of Jackson.

Mrs. Abernathy, a former Cape Girardean, was Miss Carrie Turner before her marriage to Roy Abernathy in 1915. She was 30 years old at the time of her death and lived in this section of the country all her life until about three years ago when she, with her husband, moved to St. Louis.

Besides her husband and two small children, aged 4 and 8, she is survived by her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. John H. Turner of Jackson, one brother, Ola Tuner of 545 South Benton street, and four sisters, Miss Floy Turner of 26 South Lorimier street, Mrs. H. Niswonger of Jackson, and Misses Cloe and Alma Turner, at home.
