Hopewell Center, N. Y. - The death of Elizabeth Vanbuskirk Carlough, widow of Wesley Carlough and a lifelong resident of this town, occurred at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Willis Buck, at Buffalo, on Monday afternoon. Mrs. Carlough would have been 78 years of age on July 20, She had been in failing health for some months and during that time she had been cared for at her daughter's home, where she was accustomed to spend the winters. She has a large circle of devoted friends who loved her for her kindly virtues and her great strength of character. Besides her daughter, she leaves one sister, Mrs. Cornelia Woodruff of Seneca Falls, who is the last surviving member of a family of ten children, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The remains were taken to Canandaigua yesterday, and the funeral services were held from the home of Frank D. Cook, Gorham street, at 2:30 p.m., Rev. H. I. Andrews, pastor of the Methodist church of this place, officiating. The interment was in Woodlawn Cemetery at Canandaigua beside her husband.
