ETHEL VAN HOOZEN-MCLAIN, 95, of Ossian died yesterday in Lutheran Hospital. The Allen County native retired in 1962 after teaching at Smart and Aboite Elementary schools for 44 years. Surviving is a niece.

Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday in Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Homes, Wayne Street Chapel, 428 W. Wayne St., where calling is 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow. Burial will be in Lindenwood Cemetery.
